Retired teacher/principal Dr. Penny McDonald and granddaughter Ava Moody will start us off sharing favorite books on the delights of gardens, birdhouses, birds, butterflies, bees….
Our featured guest is Author Leslie Barnard Booth who will present her children’s picture book on some very clever birds: I am We: How Crows Come Together to Survive. We will see pictures of crows in action and learn to solve a puzzle just like they do!

Hadley Exhibition Opening
Opened in 1977, the Milwaukie Pastry Kitchen was the first Black-owned business in Milwaukie and first Black-owned bakery in the State of Oregon. Toolbox’s historic exhibition pays homage to the Hadley family, unveiling never-seen photographs, equipment, and original recipes from the Hadleys bakery and home.
