UPCOMING EVENTS:
August 4–29 | Community Art Show
Join Toolbox throughout the month of August as we explore the meaning of "home" through art, conversation, and community. This interactive exhibition features hand-painted birdhouses created by local participants, celebrating creativity and belonging, all while connecting our community. Children are invited to pick up a free birdhouse kit, decorate it, and have their artwork displayed in the gallery before taking it home at the end of the exhibition.
Refugees & Immigrants Reflecting on Home
Saturday, August 8th, 11am - 1pm
Hear inspiring stories from refugees and immigrants as they share their personal journeys of creating home and building community in a new country. This free community conversation offers an opportunity to listen, learn, and connect over refreshments in a welcoming environment.
Books, Birds, and Home
Friday, August 15 | 11 a.m.–1 p.m.
Celebrate the joy of reading with a special family-friendly event featuring retired educator Dr. Penny McDonald, her granddaughter Ava Moody, and children's author Leslie Barnard Booth. Enjoy stories about birds, gardens, and nature, discover fascinating crow behavior, and take part in interactive activities. The first 30 attendees will receive a free copy of Leslie's acclaimed picture book I Am We: How Crows Come Together to Survive.
Tweet Retreats
Sunday, August 16 | 11 a.m.–1 p.m.
Get creative and build your own handcrafted birdhouse with local craftsman Frank Alderman. This free workshop includes all materials and refreshments, making it a fun activity for all skill levels. Space is limited, so be sure to RSVP through our website to reserve your spot.
