“Celtic, Arabic designs, and metaphysical symbols serve as motif inspirations in all my mandala artwork series, on paper and fabric. Themes vary, depicting meditative concepts such as harmony, peace, awakening energy, and more. Natural elements such as air, water, fire, earth, ether, and other symbols from Celtic mythology, and cosmological concepts become repeated patterns. Maze designs forever intrigue me. Finding and following the threads that weave in and out of Celtic designs gives me a sense of finding the connecting patterns of life, behind the physicality of things. The circle motif gives me a sense of feeling whole, complete, centered, grounded, safe, solid-all sides are equal! and linked in with the continual ebb & flow in the dance of life.”
