“Struck by Beauty”

Louisa Moutos can usher in Spring by “moving her brush.” Louisa Moutos expresses her overwhelming love of nature, texture, color, through a deep urge to “move her brush” — compelling the visual artist to paint all that she observes around her. Moutos’ passion for the Masters is visible in her work and eye for rendering beauty.

Moutos’ Greek heritage nudged her towards her chosen mediums of paintings and pottery, while inspiring the artist to impart her wealth of knowledge and craft. Moutos’ hands-on instructive classes are a space for innovation and joy, wherein everyone has the liberty to develop their unique style and flourish under Moutos’ teaching.

Moutos studies directly from nature, observing the ever changing light and forms in real time. She often references photographs as a basis for her work. Moutos is a well-established and widely loved artist in her local communities — as a participant in several local juried shows, art critic for members of the North Clackamas Arts Guild, and will be exhibited in the 2026 Clackamas County Art Alliance Program for the sixth consecutive year.

“Struck by Nature” calls forth the majestic moments of nature, color and form. The solo exhibition includes landscapes, still lives, and portraits intended to cure and remind the observer of their true essence and connection to life.
